Learning for Well-being
The Universal Education Foundation works to support ‘Learning for Well-being‘, a powerful vision for society that supports realizing our unique and full potential through the development of our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects in relation to self, others and the environment. It means that children can develop holistically, in diverse environments that support well-being for all. Learning is fundamental to their well-being as it is the way they perceive, understand and create their reality. Nurturing their capacities to take responsibility for their own well-being and respond to the challenges of the 21st century is a big responsibility for all of society. UEF, a member of the EFC (European Foundations Centre) Children and Youth Funders Group (CYG), took part on a study visit on 27-28 March 2012 in Birmingham, UK. The study visit aimed to advance learning and joint reflection on the implementation of evidence-based programmes related to children. -
